# How to stop looking down at your notes

By Con, founder of Music Wide Selfie · Updated 22 October 2026

**Short answer**Put short bullet points right next to the lens, or use a teleprompter that scrolls at your pace, and practise each section once before recording it.

* Bullet points, not full sentences, sound natural.
* A teleprompter by the lens keeps your eyes up. Music Wide Selfie's voice-following teleprompter moves with you as you speak.
* Record section by section; you don't need one perfect take.
